Applied Probability Special Interest Group (APSIG)

The Applied Probability Special Interest Group aims to bring together researchers and promote research in the area of probability and stochastic processes and their applications.

About APSIG

Our Objectives:

(a) the application of probability theory to population biology, ecology, epidemiology, chemical kinetics, manufacturing processes, financial and communication networks, service and queuing processes;

(b) development of methods for evaluation and control of random phenomena. These may include dynamic programming, Markov decision process, discrete event simulation, Markov Chain Monte Carlo, rare-event simulation and large deviations.
