Science Meets Parliament — EOIs due

As a member of Science and Technology Australia (STA), the AustMS would like to nominate two of its members – an ECR and a senior member – to attend  Science Meets Parliament 2026.

We are seeking expressions of interest from our members in attending the event.

Science Meets Parliament will be held in Parliament House on 25-26 March 2026.

Delegates engage in a 2-day program that covers techniques for communicating science to policy makers and politicians, media and “pitch” training, and an opportunity to meet with a parliamentarian.

Former attendees have found the experience very informative.

The AustMS nominated delegates are entitled to a reduced-rate registration of $1800  or $1600 for early career.

Travel and accommodation costs and local expenses will not be covered by AustMS, so if you are considering expressing interest, please ensure that you have funding for these items; and please let us know if your expression of interest is contingent on AustMS funding for the registration fee or whether you have access to funding to cover registration.
