Indigenising University Mathematics 4 (IUM4) – by CARMA

Dear CARMA Members, friends and attendees of previous IUM conferences,

I am delighted to advise that Prof Henry Fowler, mathematician and educator of the Diné(Navajo) people, will be in Australia for the month of July, hosted by CARMA, giving a number of talks and workshops whilst he is here, including being the keynote speaker at IUM4 in Canberra. For those interested, there is another conference straight after featuring interesting speakers who have spoken at previous CARMA events … that’s “Global Mathematics Histories and Futures” organised by Rowena Ball … see https://maths.anu.edu.au/news-events/events/global-mathematics-histories-and-futures  The early-bird deadline for that one is today.

Henry’s other events will be advertised in due course on the CARMA webpage: the first will be a talk at UNSW on Friday 3rd July.
