This year is Tony Guttmann’s 80th birthday, and in celebration there will be a conference at the University of Melbourne from Monday 30 June – Wednesday 2 July, 2025.
Tony is a leading figure in the mathematical physics community in Australia, and has made significant contributions to statistical mechanics and enumerative combinatorics. He is a former President of AustMS and was instrumental in the creation of AMSI. Many of you many know him from the ANZAMP annual conference, where the prize for the best talk by a student is named in his honour. (He also recently ran yet another marathon!)
The website for the conference, including a tentative list of speakers, can be found here:
It will be hosted in hybrid face-to-face and online mode, with a mixture of local and international participants from places including France, Germany, the UK, Canada, and the USA
Attendance is free but we do ask that you register using the link on the website.
The conference is organised by Nick Beaton (University of Melbourne), Nathan Clisby (Swinburne University of Technology) and Tim Garoni (Monash University).
