First Year in Mathematics, NSW Workshop

FYiMaths NSW and UNSW invite mathematics and statistics educators in NSW (and beyond) to a workshop on tertiary education in the quantitative disciplines and the transition from secondary education.

The theme for this year’s workshop is “Looking forward to a new year”; however, talks on any topic of interest to the FYiMaths community are welcome.

This workshop builds on the activities of the FYiMaths network by providing a local forum for the exchange of education-related issues and ideas and professional/academic networking.

Day: Friday 30 January 2026
Time: 10am until 5.00pm (arrive 9.30am for tea, coffee and networking)
Venue: Anita B Lawrence Building UNSW, Kensington campus, or via Zoom
Cost: Free (sponsorship for catering is still to be determined)
