Applications for DECRAs for funding commencing in 2027 will open on January 28 2026, with applications closing at the ARC on March 11 2026.
To provide some support and feedback to those preparing a DECRA application in mathematics, a small group of AustMS members with experience with ARC schemes are offering to provide feedback on draft applications:

- Prof Matthew Simpson (Queensland University of Technology)

If you are preparing a DECRA application yourself, and would like some feedback, please feel free to email a draft of the application (or the part you would like feedback on) to Alina Ostafe (alina.ostafe@unsw.edu.au), and she will pass it on to someone on this list to send you feedback. Please send requests to Alina rather than directly to one of the above-mentioned people so that she can distribute workload appropriately.
Unfortunately, we are unlikely to be able to provide multiple rounds of feedback. Please allow at least 5 days for feedback to be provided; and please let us know about any internal deadline(s) you are working to.
Any applications or parts of applications sent for feedback will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be discussed in any way with anyone other than the applicant. If there is a specific person on the list you would like to provide feedback, feel free to say so, but please understand that this may not always be possible while keeping workloads reasonable. If there is a specific person on the list you would prefer not to review your application, feel free to say so – no reason need be given, and such requests will always be respected. If you would prefer that Alina does not handle your application, you can forward it instead to Murray Elder (murrayelder@gmail.com).
