The Society is pleased to announce the appointment of David Roberts as its new Social Media and News Coordinator.
David will be curating news stories for our website and managing our social media presence.
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee promotes the objectives of the Society in relation to equity, diversity and inclusion practices through relevant activities, and provides strategic advice to Council on matters relevant to diversity practices.
David is a pure mathematician working at the intersection of category theory and geometry (and other topics). He is currently a postdoc in the Institute for Geometry and its Applications at the University of Adelaide, and cut his social media teeth on Google+ before moving to Twitter and now running his own blog, ‘TheHigherGeometer’.
The AustMS FaceBook page has grown in popularity in recent years under the stewardship of Sid Morris and the Society thanks him for this valuable service and many posts, both serious and entertaining.
