Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Applied Mathematics

A Lecturer is expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the University and to carry out activities to maintain and develop scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the discipline.  A Lecturer is expected to carry out independent and/or team research and may supervise postgraduate research students.A Senior Lecturer is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching effort of the Department/School and Academic Group and play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities.  A Senior Lecturer is expected to make independent and original contributions to research which have significant impact on the field of expertise.

The position will commence with a Teaching and Research profile of which the appointee will be required to undertake teaching and research in their chosen area of expertise (Applied Mathematics),  as well as contribute to the School/Centre/Institute’s teaching outcomes supporting teaching excellence and research outcomes including alignment with relevant Centre/Institutes research agendas, publications and research success, and higher degree research supervision and completions, and engagement activities.

This is a continuing, fulltime position based at the Nathan campus. Griffith is a multi-campus university and therefore it is understood that this position will work across campuses as required.
