A list of events, including conferences, meetings and lectures, of potential interest to Society members can be found here. Attendees at all meetings and events supported by the Society are expected to adhere to the Society’s Code of Conduct.
The Society’s main conference is the Annual Meeting, which has been held annually since the Society’s foundation in 1956. The forthcoming annual conference is the 2021 AustMS Meeting.
The annual conference includes the presentation of Society awards, plenary lectures, special sessions and the Society’s Annual General Meeting. Student members are encouraged to present talks on their work at the conference and there is an annual student talk prize. To facilitate attendance at the annual conference by student members, the Society has a student support scheme.
Every even year one of the plenary lectures at the annual conference is delivered by the Mahler Lecturer, as part of the Mahler Lecture Tour. Every odd year the conference is preceded by an Early Career Workshop.
Attendees at all meetings and events supported by the Society are expected to adhere to the Society’s Code of Conduct. AustMS members planning to organise an AustMS sponsored meeting are asked to consult the AustMS Inclusive Conference Guide (.docx, .pdf).
