Western Sydney University demonstrated its commitment to foundational science establishing the Centre for Research in Mathematics and Data Science in 2013. Several researchers in the centre hold ARC Discovery Project or Future Fellowship grants, and the centre has become a venue for international AMSI workshops and conferences in pure mathematics. Mathematics has been consistently ranked above world standard in ERA; in ERA 2018, the fields Mathematics (FoR 01), Pure Mathematics (FoR 0101) and Applied Mathematics (FoR 0102) each received a ranking of 4 out of 5.
We seek an energetic, forward-thinking, dynamic, and innovative mathematician to take on a Level B academic position in mathematics for a full-time, permanent position.
