The Cryptology section is expanding and seeking to fill multiple Cryptanalyst positions. In a strong team environment, you will work alongside equally talented colleagues supported by technical and non-technical leadership. You will play a crucial role in ensuring ASD’s cryptologic capabilities are fit-for-purpose and responsive to sensitive and time-critical mission requirements.
As an ASD 6 Cryptanalyst, your duties may include any of the following::
- analysing cryptographic data
- looking for underlying meaning in unfamiliar data and protocols
- evaluating cryptographic products
- informing requirements for Australian government cryptographic security
- working with some of the most powerful supercomputers in the Southern Hemisphere
- providing cryptographic expertise in support of state and federal government agencies
- conducting cryptographic research
- performing reverse engineering and vulnerability research
- liaising with industry and international standards forums
- cooperating with partner agencies.
