We champion the inclusive, equitable and ethical pursuit of mathematics. We invest in the future of Australian mathematics through support for students and early-career mathematicians. We advocate on behalf of Australian mathematics to government, funding bodies, and the media. We provide:

Diversity + Equity
Mathematics is for all. The Austrlian Mathematical Society champions equity, diversity and inclusion in the mathematical sciences. Since establishing it In 2018, the Society has drawn on the expertise of its Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee to inform this mission.
The EDI committee is responsible for advising on and drafting changes to AustMS policy to improve the Society’s practice in support of underrepresented groups, and for investigating activities that the AustMS can undertake to support its members in their places or work and encourage good practice in the working environments of mathematicians in Australia.
We are firmly committed to keeping equity, diversity and inclusion front and centre in all that we do.
